A little bit about the man behind Georges Originals…

George Coolidge has been working with his hands for as long as he can remember. At a very young age he fell in love with woodworking which started in his family’s garage, alongside his father, working on home projects, fixing things and creating furniture from basic pieces of wood.

With permission from both of his parents they allowed him to have a small workshop in the corner of the basement during his high school years. Here, he started making small decorative items with his first bandsaw and table saw he received from his Uncle Frankie.

Today, George enjoys working with mostly reclaimed wood and wine barrels, handcrafting such items as tables, rocking chairs, wine bottle holders and small mobile kitchen islands.
